Northern Valley Sports Academy is located at 100 Oakland Ave in Closter, NJ. NVSA is a 20,000 sq. ft. air-conditioned indoor facility featuring a state-of-the-art turf field, basketball court, art room & indoor playground!

Our campers range in age from 3 to 12 years old.
Campers must be potty trained in order to attend camp. If your child is not yet 3 years old, but will be in time for the summer, please call us to register.
Campers are grouped by age and are assigned counselors that travel with their group throughout the day.

Our camp staff is made up of teachers, coaches, college students, and a handful of high school students. All staff undergoes a mandatory background check. Our camp maintains a minimum staff to camper ratio of 9:1. Groups of 3 and 4 year olds operate on at least an 8:1 ratio, and additional management staff are always on site.
There are always at least two staff members on-premises daily that are CPR/AED trained & EpiPen trained.

Yes! Lunch and snacks are included! Lunch is catered from Giovanni’s Bicycle Club located in Englewood Cliffs.

Yes, single day registration is available!
To register for single days, please add the entire week of camp to your cart. From there, a drop down menu will appear, allowing you to select single days of camp to register for.

Yes! All campers must have completed medical registration forms with updated immunization records.
Forms are due at least four weeks before your child starts camp. If you sign up for camp less than four weeks before your start date your forms are due immediately. Campers will not be permitted to attend camp without their health records. They are state mandated.

If your child requires an Epi-Pen, please bring that with them along with a note from a doctor stating it is prescribed to them. We have staff who are trained on premises to use Epi-Pens. Unfortunately, we are unable to administer other medications to campers. Parents are welcome to administer medication to their children during the camp day.

Everyday:
All Campers: Comfortable clothes & sneakers. Water bottles are not recommended as we have water coolers throughout the facility.
Campers 6 and Under: Change of clothes (Shirt, pants/shorts, socks, & underwear).Tuesday & Thursday:
All Campers: Swimsuit, flip flops with back/water shoes are REQUIRED (crocs acceptable), sunscreen, and towel. Please send your children to camp already changed in their bathing suit.
*Please label all items and avoid sending valuables with your child, as NVSA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Pre & Post Summer Camp: Drop-off will begin at 8:45am and pick up will begin at 2:45pm.
Regular Summer Camp: Drop-off will begin at 8:45am and pick up will begin at 3:45pm.At drop off on your child's first day of camp, you will be given your pick up pass for the summer. Please present your pick up pass at the end of the day. If you are unable to show the pass, you may instead present your purchase receipt displaying your camper’s name.
For the safety and security of all campers, this verification is a required part of our pickup procedure. Campers will only be released to individuals who provide the required documentation. If neither the pass nor a valid purchase receipt can be presented, we will be unable to release the camper until verification can be completed.
Please enter the drop-off line through HOMANS AVE and exit onto OAKLAND AVE. We ask that you do not leave your vehicles in the drop-off line. Please be sure to PULL UP AS CLOSE TO THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU AS POSSIBLE. If you are picking up your child earlier than the scheduled pick-up time please make us aware so we can arrange for an NVSA staff member to meet your child in the parking lot. Please note that there is no carpool line for half day pick up. If you need to walk your child to the front door please park in our lot across the street.
Drop off and pick up will be done in our carpool line which forms in our parking lot.
Please enter the parking through HOMANS AVE and exit onto OAKLAND AVE.
Parents/Caregivers, DO NOT LEAVE your vehicles & please pull up as close to the car in front of you as possible. If you need to walk your child in, please park in our parking lot across the street. Parents will not be able to exit the car in our carpool line. Please no not make a left turn when exiting our parking lot during camp hours. This will help speed up the process.
*If you are dropping off your child earlier than the scheduled pick-up time or later than the drop-off time please make us aware so we can arrange for an NVSA staff member to meet your child in the parking lot.

Unfortunately, NVSA does not offer transportation.

Pre & Post Summer Camp and Regular Summer Camp is that Pre & Post Summer Camp runs until 3pm, while regular camp ends at 4pm.
There are no water sprinklers or foam parties during Pre & Post Summer Camp.

MEDICAL FORMS
ALL campers MUST have their medical forms in to us by their first day of camp. You can fill out medical forms on our website under the Summer Camp 2026 tab. Please note, any campers who do not have their forms in by the first day of their registered weeks will NOT be able to come to camp. Their immunization records must be uploaded to this link: https://forms.gle/GaF26qdHWEc1bQUL8
Please do NOT email us your child(ren)’s immunization forms. There are additional medical questions on this form that need to be answered in addition to the immunization records.
WATER ACTIVITIES
Campers should bring a bathing suit, towel and water shoes on Tuesday and Thursday (weather permitting). Water shoes/Sandals with backs are REQUIRED for outside water play. Children will not be allowed to participate in outside activities without water shoes or sandals with a back that fit securely.
THEME DAYS
Every Wednesday, we’ll have a theme day at camp. Children are encouraged to come to camp dressed up (counselors will be, too!). Camp themes can be found on our camp calendar and website. We hope to see everyone dressed up on Wednesdays!
DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Please note our updated pick up procedure! At drop off on your child's first day of camp, you will be given your pick up pass for the summer. Please present your pick up pass at the end of the day. HALF DAY DROP OFF AND PICK UP
For children enrolled in our morning half day camp, we kindly ask parents to come inside the facility for pick them up and wait in the lobby. Drop off procedures are the same as full day. For children enrolled in afternoon half day camp, we ask that parents walk their children inside for drop off. Pick up procedures are the same as full day.
EXTRA CARE
To accommodate parents or guardians with busy schedules, we offer before and after care for all weeks of camp. Before care is available from 8AM-9AM for early drop-off, and after care is from 4PM-5:30PM for late pick-up.
Before care: $20 per day
After care: $35 per day
GROUP REQUESTS
If your child would like to specifically be with another camper, please let us know now via email. We plan the groups week to week and we are able to accommodate most requests.
SNACK
We will provide morning snacks for Full Day & Half Day campers. Snack options could be oreos, goldfish, pretzels, chips, animal crackers, etc. If you’d like your child to have a different snack, please send them with one that is labeled with their name (no nuts).
LUNCH
We will be providing lunch on all days of the camp. Gluten free and vegetarian options are available upon request. Campers are welcome to bring in their own lunch/snacks (no nuts of any kind). Please make us aware of any food allergies. We do our best to accommodate our customers with allergies, but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Any lunches/snacks/water bottles should be clearly marked with the child’s name.
If your child requires an Epi-Pen, please bring the pen along with a note from the doctor stating that it is prescribed to them. We have staff on premises who are trained to use Epi-Pens.

WATER BOTTLES
We strongly recommend that you do not send your child with a water bottle. We have water machines at the facility and children have frequent water breaks and have unlimited access to all of our water machines whenever they want outside of those water breaks during activities. If you still choose to send your child with a water bottle, it MUST be labeled. If water bottles are left behind with no names, they will be promptly donated.
EXTRA CLOTHES & TOWELS
Children under 6 years old should be sent to camp with an extra change of clothes in case of an accident. Please clearly label all items that your child comes in with! This includes extra clothes, water bottles, shoes, towels, hats, etc. ALL items MUST be labeled. If we do not have names on any items that are left behind, they will be promptly donated.
Please do not send your child to camp with anything of value or electronics, as we are not responsible for lost, stolen or broken items. If at any time during the day you need to reach your child, please call the front desk at (201) 750-3275.

Children are expected to behave the same way they would in a school environment.
Bullying is not tolerated at NVSA and our staff has been trained to identify and prevent bullying behavior. If a child engages in outbursts, physical/verbal abuse to other NVSA campers/staff, NVSA has the right to remove that child from camp. We will do our best to work with your family to prevent removal from camp.

Summer camp registrations are nonrefundable.
If you need to cancel your registration, we can offer summer camp make up credits. These credits can be used to attend another day of Summer Camp within the same year. Please note that these credits will expire at the end of the summer. If you are already signed up for all remaining days of summer camp, the validity of this credit will be extended throughout the upcoming Fall season for school break camps only.
Please also note, we must be notified at least 24 hours prior to your absence in order to qualify for any form of credit.
